Who Is Eligible
Any and all application developers worldwide; (subject to specific rules).
What’s At Stake
Fame, glory and recognition as a Launch Pad finalist at Cloud Connect in Santa Clara, CA; plus either a free exhibit station on the show floor or a single sided sign on the show floor (for those companies already exhibiting) for our Four Finalists.
Selection Process
Those 4 finalists will be announced on February 18, 2010 and will be invited to give a 5 minute demonstrate of their applications live on the keynote stage at the Cloud Connect conference in Santa Clara, CA. The winner will be chosen by conference attendees after the four finalists deliver their demo. The full schedule is on the specific rules and key dates page.
Round 1 - Register and Twitter Pitch
Deadline: January 25, 2010.
First, register your company and product using the form below and we’ll send you a confirmation email. Then tweet @cloud_connect with your Twitter pitch along with the hash tag #cc_lp. Once we’ve received your Twitter pitch, the Cloud Connect Jury will narrow down the field of entrants to 8 quarter-finalists.
Round 2 - Video Submissions
If you’re one of the fortunate 8 Quarter-Finalists Chosen by the Cloud Connect Jury, please create a 3-minute video showing your cloud tool and upload it to YouTube.
Please note your video must:
- Not be longer than 3 minutes
- Title your video with your company name and/or product name
- Include your company or product description in the video description
- Include the following text at the end of your video description:
“Please vote for us on Cloud Connect Launch Pad at http://launchpad.cloudconnectevent.com/vote-now/“ - Be tagged with keywords: Cloud Connect Launch Pad, cloud_connectlp, cc_lp, Cloud Connect and cloud_connect
- Once your video is uploaded, please email the link to the video to the Cloud Connect Launchpad chairperson, Paige Finkelman at paige@techweb.com
- We will notify you when your video has been approved and we will embed the video along with a vote button on the on http://launchpad.cloudconnectevent.com/vote-now when the public voting begins on February 8, 2010.
Here are some detailed instructions on how to upload a video to YouTube:
- If you do not have a YouTube account, create one here: http://www.youtube.com/create_account
- Once you’re logged in you can upload a video here: http://www.youtube.com/my_videos_upload
- YouTube accepts video files from most digital cameras and camcorders, and cell phones in the .AVI, .MOV, .WMV, and .MPG file formats.
- Your video must be smaller than 2GB to be uploaded
