What’s At Stake
Fame, glory and recognition as a Launch Pad finalist at Cloud Connect in Santa Clara, CA plus a snazzy PR Publicity Package.
Selection Process
- Round 1 – Twitter Pitch
Tweet your pitch along with the hash tag #cc_lp. Then the Cloud Connect Jury will narrow down the field of entrants to 8 semi-finalists. Twitter Round is open November 20, 2010 through December 20, 2010.
- Round 2 – Video Submissions
The 8 semi-finalists will each create a 3 minute video which will be posted to the Launch Pad site. A round of voting by the Cloud Connect community will then ensue, and the four companies with the most votes are the Final Four. The 8 semi-finalists will be announced December 22, 2010. They have until January 13, 2011 to create a 3 minute video, at which point the community will begin voting. We’ll close video voting on February 4, 2011 and announce the Final Four on February 8, 2011.
The Final Four are invited to give a 5 minute demonstrate of their applications live on the keynote stage at the Cloud Connect conference in Santa Clara, CA. The winner will be chosen by conference attendees via live text-to-vote after the four finalists deliver their demo. The full schedule is on the specific rules and key dates page.
Video Submission Instructions…
If you’re one of the fortunate 8 Quarter-Finalists Chosen by the Cloud Connect Jury, please create a 3-minute video showing your cloud tool and upload it to YouTube.
Please note your video must:
- Not be longer than 3 minutes
- Title your video with your company name and/or product name
- Include your company or product description in the video description
- Include the following text at the end of your video description:
“Please vote for us on Cloud Connect Launch Pad at http://launchpad.cloudconnectevent.com/vote-now/“ - Be tagged with keywords: Cloud Connect Launch Pad, cloud_connectlp, cc_lp, Cloud Connect and cloud_connect
- Once your video is uploaded, please email the link to the video to the Cloud Connect Launchpad Chair, Paige Finkelman at paige@techweb.com
- We will notify you when your video has been approved and we will embed the video along with a vote button on the on http://launchpad.cloudconnectevent.com/vote-now when the public voting begins on January 13, 2011.
Here are some detailed instructions on how to upload a video to YouTube:
- If you do not have a YouTube account, create one here: http://www.youtube.com/create_account
- Once you’re logged in you can upload a video here: http://www.youtube.com/my_videos_upload
- YouTube accepts video files from most digital cameras and camcorders, and cell phones in the .AVI, .MOV, .WMV, and .MPG file formats.
- Your video must be smaller than 2GB to be uploaded
